She's of Filipina heritage, and her father has Scottish/Irish roots. Mitchell is also Lea Salonga's cousin, the famous actor in musical theater and singer. As a child, Mitchell attended Rockridge Secondary before transferring to the West Vancouver Secondary School. When she was in her teen years, Mitchell had worked for several modeling companies all over the world.
