Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th 1956 in Woodland Hills California. She was raised by an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and creating show puppets. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of six, which prompted being contacted by the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, when she starred in a television commercial for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred for the company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to play the eldest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five years. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the show she almost lost the love of her life to her twin brother Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old and the actor was 19, at that moment. It could have been, she says. However, the timing for our marriage was not the right one.
